Beth had Jacob both had checkups with Dr. Phillips ("Doc-doc Phil" according to Jacob). Hooray that neither one needed shots!
Beth had her hearing and vision checked. The nurse complimented her manners, saying we'd done a great job teaching her. I don't care if she'd come back blind and deaf, that compliment was the best news of the day! Beth weighed in at 42 pounds (75th percentile for her age) and measured 45 inches tall (90th percentile). She'd grown 4 1/2 inches in the last year! No wonder I've had trouble finding clothes for her long legs!!
Here she is at 4 years old and at 5 years old. What a difference! She looks 5 to me!
Jacob passed his autism checklist assessment. I was quite tickled at the question "does he follow commands?" Well, as much as any little boy. However, in the exam room, he did what the doctor asked- bring a book to mommy and put it back. Jacob measured 33 3/4 inches long and weighed 25 pounds. Compared to what we dealt with when he was small, the reflux keeping him from gaining weight, he's more than made up for it now. The dr was very pleased with how filled out he is and by how much he has to say. She was also quite tickled by how proud he was of his big belly that he stuck out for her. Lovely!

And Beth does look 5. She's getting to big! Make it stop!
too busy to stay still....i think this is a picture of things to come.....you probably should just keep your running shoes on all the time.
Beth certainly did have a growing spurt..she really does have an older look to her beautiful face
