It's that time of year

Finally, a day without crazy wind, a great temperature, and Kevin was home to help keep a little boy from walking into the lake. Last week, the patch by the lake in the neighborhood wasn't great, but it looked perfect this week.

Those of you not from Texas, the bluebonnet is our state flower. It blooms every year in April. Up and down the highways, you'll see these huge patches of blue. There are towns that organize festivals and "bluebonnet trail" driving routes. I'm happy to have a good spot, close by, not on the side of a busy freeway to take pictures.

I miss this about living in Texas. I last time I had the kids phots taken in the bluebonnets
was back in 2003. My kids are so deprived.

I'm so jealous! We miss Texas today. I heard on the news Wednesday night that pretty soon we'll be visiting another country when we come to Texas. Ready to secede? :) Great shots of the kids. They are adorable.
